Alexandra Mardell, who plays Emma Brooker in Coronation Street, was interviewed on ITV's Loose Women recently. She was there to help promote her storyline in Coronation Street, and about Emma finding out that Steve McDonald is her dad.
Alexandra played tribute to her own dad in the interview and it's something that she did online last week too when she posted this picture of herself as a child with her dad.
Alexandra reflected on how losing her dad helped her tell the story of her character in Corrie. You can watch a snippet from the interview below.
"When I was recalling all the emotions to put into Emma, luckily it didn't then bring me back down again...Because my dad wouldn't want me to be down."— Loose Women (@loosewomen) August 16, 2019
