Ian Bartholomew, who plays Coronation Street's nasty Geoff, is interviewed by fans in this week's fab Inside Soap magazine.
He says he was inspired to become an actor by his father and that he was a corrie fan before joining the show as Geoff Metcalfe. His favourite characters were Jack and Vera Duckworth who always made him laugh.
I didn't know this about Ian but he has done a lot of musical theatre, and says his favourite is Guys and Dolls. He was also in my favourite musical of all time, Half a Sixpence!
Speaking about playing Geoff, he says this about viewers' reactions to the way he's treating Yasmeen: "I'm not sure they're happy that he's mistreating her. People have always been very nice when they recognise me - but I don't know if that will last. I might have to keep my head low and start wearing a disguise!"
