Congratulations go to Coronation Street on winning the award for BEST STORYLINE for 'The Impact of Aidan Connor's Suicide' in this year's British Soap Awards.
The British Soap Awards was shown live on TV on Saturday 1st June from The Lowry Theatre, Salford, and honoured the nation’s biggest and most-loved TV shows.
The five biggest soaps - Coronation Street, Doctors, EastEnders, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks - were battling it out to win recognition for their work over the past year.
Hosted by Phillip Schofield, the live awards were presented by an array of well-known faces from across the TV and showbiz world.

This was an excellent story line and well acted. I can't see Corrie troubling the awards ceremony next year with the current standard of writing.
