Coronation Street Spoiler: Is Phelan really Nicola’s dad?
Phelan is set to take a DNA test next week in Coronation Street, to prove whether he’s really Nicola’s dad.
All of the pressure of having Nicola around proves a bit too much for Pat next week and he explodes at work, taking his frustrations out on Seb
Then Nicola calls at No.11 and handing Eileen a DNA testing kit, tells her she needs to know the truth. Phelan does the DNA test and hands the swab to Nicola. Nicola heads off promising she’ll be in touch as soon as she has the results. I wonder if it’ll prove anything we don’t already think we know?

One would hope not, poor girl!
But will she tell him the truth? She has already said she had a dad that loved her and doesn't need another one.
I could care less about Nicola, Seb, Phelen or Eileen. The 4 of them could easily move away now.
I sincerely hope not. I like what we've seen of Nicola so far, and she doesn't deserve a murderous thug, crook and rapist for a father. The scriptwriters should know better than try to convince us Phelan can be redeemed by discovering a previously unknown daughter.
This story is going to run and run. Maybe Nicola will say it's negative then she'll admit it was positive ...(yawn) She's quite an interesting newcomer but so unfortunate they've placed her with Phelan and co. It is far, far too late to redeem his character. I should feel some sympathy for Eileen but I don't feel anything at all, totally indifferent. Likewise with Seb.
I echo the above comments that this storyline is a dud. Seb is a loser...Anna was right to hate him and Tim should've kept up his pressure on the little git. Don't care for Faye either for that matter. Eileen is just plain stupid and she calls Jason to dumb one. Phelan is MURDERER!! Why are the writers/producers keeping this character on and trying to redeem him??? He belongs in a cell next to Nathan and Neil!!
Dump this storyline Corrie please!
