I don't know about you, but I have ABSOLUTELY LOVED watching Gentleman Jack on BBC these last few Sunday nights. I'm gutted it's finished - for now. But there is a second series on the way.
So while I've got a few moments spare this morning, let's have a look at the Coronation Street connections between Gentleman Jack and Corrie. Here are the ones I spotted but I may well have missed some, so do feel free to let me know in the comments below!
We had Corrie's Karen McDonald, the sublime Suranne Jones, as "Gentleman Jack", Anne Lister herself, pictured above.
Katherine Kelly, who played Becky McDonald in Corrie, played Elizabeth Sutherland.
Amy-James Kelly who played Sophie's girlfriend Maddie, played Miss Suzannah Washington
Stephanie Cole, who played Roy's mum Sylvia in Corrie, played Caroline Walker.
Amelia Bullimore who played Steph Barnes in Corrie, played Elizabeth Priestly.
Timothy West, who played Eric Babbage in Corrie, played Jeremy Lister.
Joel Morris who played Gemma's fella Spike in Corrie, played William Hardcastle.
Writer and Director Sally Wainwright was for many years a Coronation Street scriptwriter.
And producer Phil Collinson is a past producer of Coronation Street.
Were there any other Corrie crossovers you spotted?

Does anyone else get a little glow of pride when they see someone like Suranne Jones (or Katherine Kelly, or Sarah Lancashire) getting feted and applauded for their brilliance the world over? A little "that's our Karen!"
There was a previous Tv version of the story called The Secret Diaries of Miss Anne Lister - the cast included Tina O'Brien (Sarah).
Absolutely, Scott!
Anonymous, that's really interesting, I didn't know, thanks for alerting me!
Miss Lister's girlfriend was Anne Walker. Annie Walker was the original landlady of The Rovers Return.
Those fine actresses would not stay in Corrie for five minutes today, it's so dire it hardly enhances anyone's acting credentials.
