Coronation Street Episode Review; Weds 03 July 7.30pm

Peter and Carla have returned to Weatherfield. Heading straight to Roy's, Carla seems revitalised and recovered but her readjustment is she still causing concern for Peter. Telling Michelle that there's no 'quick fix', Peter may be correct to worry, as Carla earwigs their conversation. However, having seen her assessed by the mental health worker and his confidence lifted, Peter heads off to his AA meeting and to see Leanne.

Over at Yasmeen's, Geoff caters breakfast in style in his subtly slimy way. A certain control is now in play following Alya's announcement that she's moving out, and Geoff's grip gets that little tighter. Yasmeen remains oblivious.

Handed a wedding invitation by David, Imran clears Leanne out of the solicitors office so they can discuss the upcoming court case. Discovering Nick's 'brain injury' is suddenly mitigation in his defence case, Imran is fuming and tells David that this could blow a huge hole in their plan. Later when David confronts him, Nick continues to play dumb to his brother's accusations. Leanne later tells Nick to act less miserable as her 'brain injury' idea seems to be bearing fruit.

Maria receives a stream of saucy responses to her dating profile, much to Bethany's amusement. In other romance news, Sean announces his date got blown out, whilst Paul and Billy make plans for a dinner date.

With Roy taking a nap, Carla sneaks out and makes a grand entrance at the community centre/factory.
The factory girls are less than happy to see her (apart from long time allies Sean and Sally, that is). Gathering the group for a meeting, Carla decides to make a grand gesture - she's giving them her shares in Underworld!

Meanwhile, David decides to play dirty and tells Imran that Nick admitted to sabotaging the factory roof.
