Watch: Sue Cleaver reveals all about Eileen and Phelan

Sue Cleaver, who plays Eileen  Eileen Grimshaw in Coronation Street, was interviewed on ITV's Good Morning Britain this morning.

Sue talked about her current storyline with Pat Phelan and Vinny the villain. And she also touched on her real-life and the training she's doing to become an agony aunt. The actress has put her psychotherapy studies on hold to focus on her current Corrie storyline, but will return to them in the coming months.

"I've been training to be a psychotherapist and I've just had to defer my final year because of my storyline," she revealed.

You can watch the video interview, below. Warning, contains scenes of Piers Morgan.

I'm supportive of anyone engaging in study, but can you seriously imagine being referred to a psychotherapist and discovering it's Eileen Grimshaw? I'd run a mile!

Really check required here Cobblestone. You'd be referred to see Sue Cleaver, not Eileen Grimshaw. I think she'd make a great job of it too

So is she hinting that she'll be leaving the show soon?

I've read something else about Sue Cleaver's pursuits at psychotherapy and apparently she's quite good at it. Begs the question why she'd want to keep playing someone so predictable and uninteresting as Eileen. I suppose it does pay the bills...

It's great to have a wide variety of interests and always a good idea to have something to fall back on. Good on her for pursuing her studies. She might even put her knowledge to use by working behind the cameras too someday.

Maybe she can be a consultant for the show and let the writers know that an entire street of people experiencing personality transplants is NOT plausible.
