Gary and Sarah to get together in Corrie - Yay or Nay?

You probably know by now that I'm a huge Gary Windass fan so I won't bang on (again) about how lovely he is.

What I would like to know, however, is whether you think Gary and Sarah should get together.

I'd love Gary and Izzy to get back together, of course, but it looks like that is not going to happen.  And so, I think Gary and Sarah might work.

What do you think? Gary and Sarah together as a couple - Yay or Nay?

Oh yes! They'd be great together. And of course, Anna and Gail would be feuding over it...

Yay from me. I think they might work quite well and it would be nice to see Sarah getting a decent bloke for a change.

Bethany fancies him, she also fancied Callum, see where this is going?

It's fairly obvious where this is going, Anon above.

I said weeks ago how this was all going to pan out, and it is.

I'm inclined to agree with Anonymous at 12.07. They'll get together, Bethany will attempt to steal Gary or she'll make false allegations against him. A few years ago, the writers changed Sophie's age to fit a storyline and I bet they now wish they'd made Bethany younger. The bullying and subsequent suspension really doesn't make sense for a girl her age (why doesn't she just go to college?!)but I guess Bethany being happy wouldn't be much of a storyline.

Nay. Sarah was on the brink of madness just weeks ago and unless she wants her daughter to be another teen mother she should, finally, spend a few months actually raising her child and her new baby.
As for Gary, while I'm sure being, yet again, handed part of a business by the father of his current girlfriend may sound like a good idea but he should keep in mind how things ended the last time. Since the Nazirs look set to blow up and he couldn't buy them out, he'd do well to focus on building a business all his own that he can rely on to help raise his child.

I think they'd be brilliant together. Sarah needs someone with a good head on his shoulders, and I never liked Gary and Izzy together, they seemed very contrived.

Sarah & Gary doesn't work for me - she is so flaky and he seems to be much more level headed. I would feel sorry for Izzy because I can't imagine how the father of her baby would choose someone like Sarah over her. Although it would make for interesting squabbles between Gail & Anna - obviously Anna would win.

Gary Рlatt? - sounds interesting!

IDK. Gail would have a problem welcoming a punk who had a part in Joe's demise to the inner circles of her family. He and David were far from friends for the longest time. They've spoken a few times and he cares, appropriately, for Bethany. All I see here is a convenience factor. Which probably means they'll be moving in together soon.

I thought it looked like he might get back together with Alya, at one point, there was a scene with the two of them giving each other looks like they still had feelings for each other. Unless they are planning on turning it into a triangle down the road?

yay! For all the reasons abbyk stated I think it would be fantastic. I really like Gary and Sarah separately..and they have chemistry...he did not have that with alya or izzy.

I would also say nay as it's getting boring with Sarah being paired up with every bloke on the Street only to be pregnant with their child soon afterwards[so it seems].
I would prefer to see Gary find his way back to Izzy and be more involved with his son's life rather than someone's else's child's life.
The pairing of Sarah and Gary would be a recycling of Gary being paired up with Alya soon after he and Izzy broke up the first time.
I also agree with abbyk's commnets and I think if Sarah was paired up with Gary,it could cause trouble for the family as her relationship with Callum did.

Yay, they have chemistry, are both parents of young boys so could manage the blended family dynamic. They each have had their share of mental illness and struggle to keep their emotions in check, even though they also show a reasonable degree of level headedness. Plus, as pointed out above, there is plenty of scope for drama so they won't wind up in the couple's death zone - reduced to playing glorified extras unless/until one of them strays ...

Why not just show someone (in this case Gary) strive to do the decent thing for once and follow the drama and conflict in that? Ie. get back with Izzy and help support and raise the child that they made so many sacrifices to bring into this world. Moving a person from partner to partner is a really lazy way to create drama. Also if he can move on so quickly from Alya (the supposed love of his life!) he looks even more suspect in keeping half of the gym. His whole argument for keeping the gift of the gym was because he needed to focus on providing for his child, not to allow him to pick up new women!

I have a mental picture of Gail and Anna rolling around the cobbles in their nightgowns...LOL.

Nay for me. Sarah's too flighty for Gary. Since she's been back from Italy, after years away, I struggle to see much substance in the returned character. (I know, it's just a soap.) Even with all the Callum drama, I still feel like she's always reacting to events, not creating her own life. In general, I'm also just tired of the constant pairing up of everybody! It's unrealistic that women and men aren't close friends more on Corrie.
