CONCERNS FOR DAVID DEEPEN With Bethany suspended from school, David agrees to let her work in the salon for the day. As Bethany sweeps up she pours her heart out to David and admits how much she misses Kylie. Lauren calls in the salon and finding Bethany alone, enjoys putting the frighteners on her. David returns and Bethany floods with relief. Making out it’s time they all buried the hatchet, David sends Bethany out for coffees and insists Lauren must have a free hair do. As a delighted Lauren settles back for a blow dry, David fingers the scissors in his pocket.
MARIA HAS A PROPOSITION FOR LUKE Excited Caz hugs Maria explaining she’s got an interview later that day. But when Kate rows with Caz in the street, accusing her of using Maria, Kate spills coffee down Caz’s interview suit. Meanwhile Audrey feels unwell and suggests Maria finds someone else to take to the Regional Stylists’ Awards. When Maria invites Luke to be her plus one at the awards do, he accepts immediately, hopeful they might get back together.
BILLY’S FEARS GROW AS NEWS SPREADS Todd tells Eileen that he’s moved into the rectory with Billy. Having overheard, Sean’s deeply hurt and Billy feels terrible. With Todd gone, Sean asks Eileen if he can move back in. Will Eileen agree?
ELSEWHERE Telling Bethany that she’s been spending too much time at the gym, Sarah reveals she’s cancelled her membership. Bethany’s annoyed. Gary hands Sarah a refund and warns her to keep an eye on Bethany. Clocking their exchange from across the street, Izzy’s puzzled. Craig writes a letter to his Dad and shows it to Faye. Faye’s impressed but after a change of heart, Craig chucks it in the bin.
Friday 9th September
LAUREN’S REIGN OF TERROR IS CUT SHORT BY DAVID Chopping a chunk out of Lauren’s hair, David tells her that if she ever bullies Bethany again it’ll be her throat next time. Threatening to call the police, Lauren flees the salon scared witless. Gemma watches her go. When Bethany realises what David’s done to Lauren, she’s beside herself, worried he’s made matters worse. The police call at the salon and question David over Lauren’s allegations. David makes out Lauren booked a haircut but changed her mind half way through. When Gemma backs him up will the police accept his story? Back at the Platts David assures Gail he’s binned the blood stained hoodie and is determined to move on with his life. Gail’s relieved. But having set up a fake profile online, David sends a friend request to Macca.
MARIA LETS LUKE DOWN FOR CAZ Sporting a tux, Luke meets up with Maria. Maria’s heart sinks, worried he’s reading more into their date than she intended. As they set off to the awards ceremony, they find a teary Caz at the bus stop, who explains she’s missed her interview. Telling Luke to wait for her in the Rovers, Maria takes Caz home. Caz opens up to Maria and admits she misses the army and is finding it tough adapting to normal life. Realising Caz needs her support, Maria calls a gutted Luke and cancels their date. Back at the flat as Maria gets changed Caz can’t help watching admiringly!
BILLY’S GOT NOWHERE LEFT TO HIDE At the rectory Todd produces a DVD and suggests a cosy night in but the mood is ruined when Billy admits he feels it’s too soon for them to be living together.
ELSEWHERE Faye dupes Kirk into revealing which prison Craig’s Dad is being held in.

BTW Nick's behavior is true to form, no brain damage involved. His wanting to bully Steve to get his way is not new. Remember when he encouraged Peter's drinking so that Leanne would leave her marriage and fall into his arms!
