Corrie's Norris and Rita in The Great Knaresborough Bed Race

With thanks to Coronation Street fan Helen Nash for allowing us to share this photograph which her brother took at The Great Knaresborough Bed Race at the weekend.

What's
The Great Knaresborough Bed Race?

It is part fancy dress pageant and part gruelling time trial over a 2.4 mile course, ending with a swim through the icy waters of the River Nidd. First staged in 1966, it runs annually and took place over th weekend.

The Norris mask came from Maskarade.
