There's a Goodbye Jenny interview with actress Sally Ann Matthews at the official Coronation Street website.
Sally Ann has been on Corrie, for the second time, as Jenny for the last five months - and she was carted off by the cops last night. Is this the end of Jenny Bradley? I do hope not.
Sally Ann says that one of the best things about being back in Coronation Street has been spending time with Barbara Knox (Rita), Michael Le Vell (Kevin) and getting to know Brooke (Sophie).
In the video interview she gave nothing away regarding her storyline, her future, or whether this will be the last we see of Jenny Bradley.
All she says is "We'll have to wait and see..."

Sally Ann Matthews has been excellent, pitching it just about right. I wish it hadn't been quite so obvious what her back story was and the reveal was a soap cliché, with the character teetering on the edge of a balcony. Sophie won't forgive her and though Kevin may want to help her from a distance, nobody will want Jenny around the Street anymore. Maybe there's a few more scenes of explanation to come where Jenny expands on why she actually came back to the Street. Was she after Kevin at all, or simply a man with a young child? I know we're not supposed to comment on an actor's appearance but nice ones are the exception. S A M has matured into an extremely attractive, and talented, actress. She must be in great demand and possibly wouldn't want to commit to Corrie for too long.
I agree, Humpty. SAM's acting skills are superb!
I don't think Jenny targeted Kevin because he had a young son. When they first got together, she was very reluctant to look after Jack or have much contact with him at all. It seemed that, as she spent more time with Kevin & his family, she was unable to resist the growing temptation to use Jack to ease the pain of her loss. At least, that is my "amateur psychologist" take on it. :-)
I, too, was thinking that S A M is one of those fortunate women who become more attractive as they grow older.
I too thought Sally Ann Matthews played a blinder! My heart was breaking for Jenny despite what she'd done, especially at the end when Kevin completely ignored her. I'd love it if she could come backstage least for a wee while, and give Corrie some gritty realism for a change.
*I'd love it if she could come back at least for a wee while*
aargh, predictive text!
I didn't watch Coronation Street back in the 1980s, so this was the first time I saw Jenny, but I took to the character immediately.
Sally Ann Matthews was easily one of the best actresses on the show these past few months, and if this is the end I'm sad to see her go. Fingers crossed it isn't the end, though.
Please let Rita expand on her new found sympathy for Jenny and offer to let her move into Rita's flat as some sort of guarantor against Jenny going to prison.
I'd be such a shame to loose the character now that she's made such a successful come back.
Amanda, that would be a great idea. Unfortunately, I could see Sophie making nasty comments to Jenny every time she sees her on the street. Pretty much the way Alya is treating Carla these days.
Or, alternatively, Sophie could apply her do-gooder side to helping Jenny and the two of them could become best pals. Might make a good story.
