In last night's Coronation Street, when Sophie was organising Maddie's funeral and said she hadn't been able to contact Maddie's mum, Kevin made a comment that set my teeth on edge.
"Must be hard burying one of your kids," he said.
Come on, scriptwriters. If you don't remember, we all do, that Kevin lost his own baby son, Jake.
Jake Webster was the son of Kevin and Alison Webster.
Shortly after his birth, Jake turned blue and was diagnosed by doctors
with a fatal Group B Strep infection - he died in the arms of his
parents.
When it all comes out about Jenny losing her own child next week, I wonder if baby Jake will be mentioned then? If he's not, I'll be throwing things at the telly.
