Preview of tonight's Coronation Street - Mon 2 April


Monday 2nd April
IS THE TRUTH ABOUT PHELAN FINALLY OUT? As the details of what happened at the lighthouse reach the residents of Weatherfield shock reverberates across the cobbles as questions are asked and crimes are uncovered.
DAVID FEELS BETHANY’S PAIN Craig breaks the news to the Platts that Neil Clifton is appealing against his conviction. As Bethany says she will not go back in court to give evidence David comforts her trying to conceal his own inner pain and bolts out of the room.
ELSEWHERE Sophie tells Aidan, Maria and Rosie that she has an interview for a manager job at a new restaurant in Manchester.

Monday 2nd April
SHONA INADVERTENTLY TURNS THE KNIFE IN DAVID’S BACK Shona speaks to David about the fact that they haven’t been intimate for some time and asks him to join her in bed. He says he will follow her up but once she heads upstairs he gets his coat and leaves.
CRAIG CROSSES THE LINE AND BLAMES BETHANY When the police visit Bethany they are surprised to discover Craig told her about Neil’s appeal and suggest Craig takes a break from his Special constable work. An anxious Craig is doing his OCD rituals when Bethany calls round and he gets upset and blames her for what has happened.
ELSEWHERE Rosie and Aidan wait excitedly for Sophie to finish her interview but she reveals she didn’t get the job.

So there it is in black and white: Craig is a special constable. Expenses only in Greater Manchester and probably only a few hours a week. What does Craig do for the rest of the week and how does he pay his rent?

Why would Sophie apply for a job she is not remotely qualified for? She's never worked in a restaurant. She worked in Dev's shop, and walked around Kevin's garage with a clipboard.
