Coronation Street Episode Review; Wednesday 28 of Feb 2018 8.30pm
David and Josh's friendship is becoming so close, that the mechanic seems to sit like a guardian angel, waiting for a Platt to fall over. We know where this going. And, I am not anti this storyline, I think it's brave and really welcome.
Bethany is at the police station and poor Craig is beside himself. Rana is being played by Zeedan and in true 'love conquers all' style, it will end in tears and he will be the one crying.
Bethany has shoved a bottle in a man's face and Sarah is sticking by her daughter. This one looks set to run and run. But, again needs to because a young girl would not get over being groomed quickly. We've statted so we have to finish.
Liz and Eileen are in the loos, as the former landlady is hiding from Moira. Much needed comedy value, only it's not that funny.
Moira catches up with Eileen and bores her rigid. Meanwhile the wanderer starts to eye up Josh in the Rovers. Rana's brother defends his sis, but gets nowhere with Zeedan. Even Leanne fails to intervene.
Eileen returns to the toilets, as she finds Liz less annoying than Moira. The two try to patch things up. Eileen says: "I swear everyone sees a different man....." Really? No shit, Sherlock! Liz suggests a 'Get to know Pat Party.' Lock up your kitchen knives!
Bethany is really hurting, as mum has suspected. Meanwhile, Summer returns from the set of Trainspotting, and tells Phelan that she saw Billy on drugs with his brother. She gets a hug from the manipulative one and a promise that things will be sorted.
Kana has a major complication, poor Sophie who has been fooled into thinking it was a good idea to move in. Kate claims she does not want to "rush things", as her other half is not Sally's daughter. I wish she would just be honest with her, as I really like Sophie.
Liz and Eileen are still hiding and Moira attempts to give her a diagnosis. Eileen puts her off the scent and she and Liz hide in a cubicle, giggling.
David tells Bethany she has a "few anger issues", there is good comedy in Corrie, despite what naysayers claim. And, I like the black comedy that David supplies..
Leanne finds Eileen and Liz and grins, but refuses to deliver drinks to the loo. Moira spots Liz and hugs her, as she believes she has saved her. Uh oh! She's back, delisional and Liz is lumbered. You can see why she hid now.
Rana sees Kate and the green eyed monster takes over. Kate kids herself that Sophie is the one to save face. But, she knows and we know where her heart and head is.
Craig's OCD is taking over his life. Beth sees it first hand. She shouts at him and Craig says he wants to move out. Scared of being found out, he feels vulnerable.
Not as vulnerable as me! Reading this back, I have realised there is just too much drama. Might sound daft to say that, as this is a serial drama, but I long for a story involving Rita and some missing humbugs, or Mary and Tracey going on a holiday, something normal or aomething light.
Because at the moment, Corrie is so heavy, that The Rock would have problems lifting it.

Totally confused by the date of the title!
Whoops, sorry about that. Copy/paste gremlins.
That is why a lot of people have stopped viewing Corrie. There is too much drama. It is like Eastenders with very little laughter, sunshine or lightheartedness. Corrie was known to mix it up...now it is just gloom and doom.
And I used to watch the show for entertainment, not for one public service announcement after another as to the miserable things that go on in this world. If I wanted this 'new' corrie I would watch the news or Game of Thrones.
Indeed, Anon. at 18:52! " If I wanted this 'new' corrie I would watch the news or Game of Thrones."
This is the Trump era of Corrie. Run by Twitter, and by 'eck it's one scary and dark thing after another.
One of these days I expect all of the residents to commit suicide. Who would want to live someplace so dark and depressing all the time.
Great write up!
