Is Classic Corrie influencing current storylines?
In the previews for next week's Coronation Street, we're going to see Ken giving French lessons in the back of the Rovers Return.
We'll also see Sally Webster get all snobbish about her wallpaper, only to be brought down to earth with a bump.
For those of us who have either been watching Corrie for decades, or who have been catching up with the stories on Classic Corrie on ITV3, these storylines might sound a bit familiar.
Ken's French lesson to Raquel in the back of the Rovers Return is one of Corrie's classic comedy scenes.
And if you swap Sally and her wallpaper for snobby Annie Walker and what she thought was her monogrammed carpet that came with the intials AW, which turned out to be from the 'Alhambra Weatherfield' then you'll see what I'm hinting at.
Add into the mix the return of much-loved characters like Martin Platt next week...
... and the 'return' of Richard Hillman...
... well, let's just say that as Classic Corrie rules the ratings as the highest watched programme on ITV3, it seems only right that Corrie is opening up the history box more than it usually does.
It's always good to have one eye on the future - and with the opening of the new Victoria Street, Corrie is definitely doing that.
But it's just as important to remember the past.

Sounds like CS gold to me!
One of the things I enjoy the most is when they toss in a line about a former character or about something from the past history.
It's nice to have the past resurface, but sometimes it seems like they're just recycling old storylines for lack of new ones.
Nothing can ever beat annie walker's monogrammed carpet!
