Audrey and Tim's dad - Yay or Nay?
Well, it was good to have our theory confirmed last night that DJ Geoff of Hospital Radio is indeed Tim's dad. Missed our theory? You can catch up with it here.
So now that we know who Geoff is, and what his relation to the Street is, will this mean we'll see more of him - and more importantly, will Audrey see more of him too? I certainly hope so. It's been a long time since she's had a bit of fun in her life and Geoff seems like a man with a sense of humour.
So what do you say to Audrey and Tim's dad - Yay or Nay?

Definitely Yea. Geoff seems far more like Audrey herself in having a great sense of humour and fun than any of her former men - anxious Alfeh, stolid Bill Webster, dull Keith Appleyard. Only Lewis Archer came close to matching the old ‘Good-time Audrey’, and he couldn’t be trusted. Besides, Tim is such a great character, it would be nice to his family extended.
I did enjoy the humour of the scenes with Geoff, except him playing that awful Joe Dolce song, and loved Audrey's ad-libbing as DJ, so he's a good match as a pal certainly. There doesn't always have to be "romance". Of course, a good move would have been to cast Joe's uncle John Duttine. There's a strong family resemblance, something we see too little of in the soaps. 😊
It would be a good addition to the Street - a stable and uncomplicated senior couple. Geoff already has a ready-made family with Tim & co, and now he could have Gail & co. I like the prospect of a large extended family with a laid-back senior couple to calm their offspring.
Was Geoff at Tim and Sally's wedding?
Yay from me, even if it’s just as pals. I’m also looking forward to seeing more of Sally and Gail’s nearly forgotten friendship. Maybe a little cattiness at the Rovers is on he menu?
Absolutely. We not only need more fun story lines like this to offset the dark stuff, but they kind of dropped the ball on Audrey and Ken.
Audrey was quite a party girl back in the day, up for some fun. I think she'll find it with Geoff. It is refreshing to see someone a little more mature hit the street, and if Geoff has the same sense of humour as Tim I think we'll see some fantastic scenes. His comment about Sally's wallpaper was hilarious! So Yes, Yes, Yes, let's put a spark in Aug's life!
yep. we need more Audrey time.
Jeanie: Early days but he's definitely more her type than Ken! Too bad Gail and Sally get along so well--no conflict there.
This isn't the first time Audrey has dipped into the Webster family dating pool. She caused trouble by inviting Bill Webster to live in while he was still married to Maureen.
