Why doesn't Corrie replace Todd with a new actor? Corrie has done that before (remember Amy?). I miss Todd.

I think Phelan is going to go over the edge and be presumed dead, but never actually found, so they can bring him back again a few months later to finish him off for real.

Meanwhile, Weatherfield's Finest will charge Gary with double homicide even though he didn't really know either of the victims nor had any reason to kill them, and he'll only be vindicated and released once Phelan comes back. Gotta have someone else on trial for something hey didn't do, after all.

Anonymous, I think you're right...I think Phelan will go over the cliff but not be found just yet. If I'm not mistaken, I thought I read a Corrie spoiler a long time ago (it might have been speculation not a spoiler) that the actual close to the Phelan story won't come till September (don't quote me on that, but I thought that's what I read). When the time comes - I want a proper comeuppance for Mr. Phelan: him in court, having charges read against him, with his neighbours all around, with him scowling as he always does. And then I want Anna to walk in to court and for her to say to everyone, "I TOLD YOU SO!!!".

Josh is getting creepier ingratiating himself in David's life and the Platt family as a whole, what next he'll start dating Sarah?
It's no wonder that David wants to emigrate with his father[Sarah needs to stay our of it!]
I'm not looking forward to months of David being stalked by his rapist pushing him to another breakdown possibly due to no one believing he was raped by Josh.

What will probably happen with Josh:

- Months of David being tormented and stalked by him, he'll randomly appear around street corners and behind doors even though it's basically impossible for him to be there. Kind of like Phelan in that regard

- Nobody will believe David once he says what happened and he'll be made out to be a troublemaker. Shona will leave him

- Josh will try to rape him again and David will fight back and put him in the hospital, and he'll be made out to being a psychotic lunatic and charged by the police, meanwhile Josh will be smirking or something in plain sight but only David will ever notice

- Josh will try to do something to Max and be caught before he can, luckily, and David will finally be vindicated

I hope they will. I think they may which is why they have said that he is on the run from the police. It’s all quite vague really. Perhaps they are just waiting for time to pass before bringing in another actor.

In my humble opinion, I don't think David is Josh's first victim. I think he has form. Hopefully he'll get caught before he does it again.

I don't agree that no one will believe David. Much of the street may feel David is overreacting/ homophobic to a misunderstanding (ie maybe Josh made just a pass at him?). But rape is not the kind of accusation most straight men would make up to cause trouble. There is too much perceived stigma and demasculation attached.

Certainly at the least his family - Martin, Gail, Sarah, Bethany and Shona - will believe him once the details are revealed. Especially after living with David's strange behaviour. I think Maria and Audrey too, after initial disbelief.
