Who are you and where are you from?
Guy Brun, Canada
How long have you been watching Corrie?
I've been watching since 2001 and have seldom missed an episode.
Who are your favourite female and male characters - and the reasons why?
That's a tough one, since there has been some truly remarkable Characters on the street, but...
Favourite female character: Becks with a close tie to Carla.
Favourite female character I love to hate - Tracy Barlow
Favourite male character: Peter Barlow
Favourite male character I love to hate - David Platt
What have been some of your favorite Corrie storylines over the years?
The reason I love Coronation street so much is because of how they handle and shine a light on some very important topics, so with that said; Hayley's cancer and suicide storyline was, I believe, an important story to tell and was incredibly well played.
As a gay male I was made Corrie-curious when Todd was coming out and I've always felt that this story was an important milestone for myself and for television. It is very rare for television to play these kinds of stories honestly and so well. Coronation Street hooked me in because of their ability to mix humour and illuminating storylines. Corrie had a trans character, a main character nonetheless, for years and showed the struggles in such an honest way for years that I can't help but have the utmost respect for this show.
And what would your fantasy Corrie storyline be?
I'd love to see a Canadian moving on the street. The show is very popular here and I think that there have been characters from mostly all over the commonwealth, but not very many from Canada. Introducing a Canadian love interest for Todd (me, please!) that would soften him up a bit would definitely be an awesome story line.
AND Becky returning on the street would be amazing!
