Glad to hear that Gail and Michael are getting back together, they should never have been apart.
Don't care about Gemma, people have short memories about how nasty she used to be when slack-jaw was alive.
Not looking forward to Kate dumping Caz, that'll be even more smug looks on Sophie's chops.
I wonder if after Kylie's death the truth will ever come out that she killed Callum or if that will go to the grave with her?
I suspect that Callum's mates may have something to do with her death as they are around a lot next week but I could be wrong. I must admit that I'm stumped as to what the cause of her death might be. Most of the scenarios I can think of have already been done on the program he at one time or another.
Just a thought.......I wonder if Kylie's death involves her coming back as a ghost and attending her own funeral or something of that sort? Is that what the preview scenes of her standing beside her own hearse are hinting at? However, something similar has already been done with the spirit of Vera Duckworth visiting her husband Jack before he died in 2010.
Or it the ghost of Callum that comes back and gives Kylie such as scare that it kills her! Maybe that idea's not all that far fetched! However, the actor who played Callum would probably have had to return to the studios to record the scene, and he hasn't been spotted doing that. Unless of course they use some kind of special effect instead of getting the actor back.
Here's a possible scenario.........just before Kylie, David and Max are due to leave for Barbados Kylie Goes into the annexe to fetch something. She then sees Callum's ghost which gives her such a shock that it kills her, perhaps by a fatal heart attack. She is discovered by David and Gail who never know exactly how she died.
As far as I know no-one has died in this kind of way in a soap before, and Corrie has dabbled in the supernatural before, as with the spirit of Vera Duckworth in 2010 and also a storyline in 1975 in which Betty Turpin might possibly have seen the ghost of Martha Longhurst in the a Rovers Return snug where she often drank with Ena Sharples and Minnie Caldwell.
That's a plot development that the industry calls Jumping the Shark; it would be the end of Corrie's remaining credibility.
That's probably true. However, as Paula Lane has said that the cause of Kylie's death has never been done on a soap before and is quite different from anything else on Corrie it's very difficult to predict what it might be. Most of the scenarios I can think of are just variations on what has been done before. For example, Kylie committing suicide at the last minute is perfectly plausible, but other characters have already done this, including Janet Barlow, Katy Harris and Hayley Cropper. As I have said before, it is quite possible that Callum's mates are involved but how? Do they somehow find out that Kylie was responsible for Callum's death and kill her as she steps out of the house? This seems quite possible but not all that original. I just don't know. I suppose we will just have to wait until Friday 15th July to find out for sure.
It wouldn't greatly surprise me if Corrie did Jump the Shark in one way or another on this one.
WAsn't Des Barnes killed by drug dealers? That seems rather similar to Callum's mates killing Kylie.
Well if it's something that's never been done on Corrie before, I say that Kylie dies in a hail of bullets as the victim of a drive-by shooting initiated by Callum's goons. Or, have we had a suicide on Corrie before?
