Coronation Street fan of the week - Janet in Canada
It's time to meet another Coronation Street fan of the week.
Would you like to be our Corrie fan of the week?
Find out more here!
Who are you and where are you from?
Hello, my name is Janet Marfleet, I am from Peterborough Ontario Canada. I now live in Renfrew Ontario
How long have you been watching Corrie?
I have been watching Corrie for many years, on and off. I remember when Tracy Barlow was a sweet little toddler, and when she went missing after a truck rammed into the front of the Rovers Return. Deirdre thought she had been killed but some woman had taken her. The longest span of me watching Corrie is now though, since the early 90's..
Who are your favorite female and male characters- and the reasons why?
Females: Tracy Barlow- She is a very exciting character. you never know what she'll be up to next. I also like to see her kind side. Betty Turpin- I loved the way she told people off - with love. Rita Tanner- The Wise One, always has good advice. Kylie Platt - At the beginning I wasn't too fond of her, but now she shows her good caring side. Anna Windass- I like her motherly personality. Carla Connor - been through hell and back, still a strong person.
Males: Peter Barlow - funny when he's drunk, gorgeous, protective of his loved ones, caring. David Platt - Very comical, marriage has really matured him. Steve McDonald - Very comical. Jack Duckworth - Wise, comical, even though him and Vera fought, you could tell he still loved her. Liam Connor - Liked his accent. Graeme Proctor- Hilarious.
What's been some of your favorite Corrie storylines over the years?
Sophie finding Ivy's old diary and pretending she was psychic. Tram Crash. Tracy killing Charlie Stubbs. Katy Harris and Martin Platt (Katy killing Tommy). Richard Hillman murders. Tony Gordon rampage. Carla Connor and Frank Foster (rape and murder storyline). Deirdre's death. Vera's "special" brownies
What would be your fantasy storyline be?
I like anything that's eerie or spooky eg. Vera thinking she saw Ivy's ghost, Sophie's psychic game, even the Rovers doors blowing open just after Deirdre's death was announced. I would like to see something like a murder mystery and have someone have some kind of psychic dream or message saying who the killer is. or someone going to a psychic and having everything come true.
Any snippets or news about meeting any of the Corrie cast etc.
Not yet, hopefully someday i will get a chance to meet someone from the cast
