Dan Jones, a laddish brewery worker - played by actor Andrew Paul
Aidan Connor, a cousin of Michelle's - played by Shayne Ward
Dougie Ryan, a wilderness survival expert - played by Paddy McGuinness
Robert Preston's wife - played by Sarah Harding
Characters returning
Bev Unwin - Susie Blake returns as Bev for Deirdre's funeral
Peter Barlow - Chris Gascoyne returns as Peter for Deirdre's funeral
Brian Packham - Peter Gunn returns for Julie Carp's exit storyline
Robert Preston - Tracy Barlow's ex-husband returns with a new actor Tristam Gemmill
Fiz Stape and Kylie Platt are already back filming after the actresses returned from maternity leave.
Eva Price will also be back after the actress's maternity leave ends.

I wonder whatever happened to the new character of Howie (Tim's cousin) who was announced ages ago?
There were articles about actors who had auditioned for the part. Howie would have had a storyline with Tim but he's been involved in the one about Faye's pregnancy. I guess that took precedence. Or maybe they couldn't find the right actor or couldn't decide what disability the character had.
It will be nice to see Bev Unwin back.

I'm just curious to know which characters will be long term and which are just short-term.
Am I correct in assuming that Dan, Aidan and Robert are the only confirmed regulars in this list along with the rest of the upcoming extended Connor clan?
I'm just confused with all these long and short term castings coming all at once. (I also collect the Cast Cards and am just curious as to who will soon be available.)
I've heard that Jenny may not stick around and am curious about Adrian and Erica and if they will stay on longer

A a special surprise Stella Price will show up at Deirdre's funeral, after all they were once in-laws. She will soon buy herself by comforting all in attendance.
