The alpacas who tune into watch Coronation Street

There's a wonderful story in the Belly Telly today (Belfast Telegraph) about alpacas that watch Coronation Street. Hang on, I'll just repeat that. Alpacas that watch Coronation Street.

Yes, this beats a YouTube of someone's dog howling along to the theme tune.  The Belly Telly reports from a farm in the foothills of the Mournes in Northern Ireland where alpacas hum, sing, protect hens from foxes and even watch Coronation Street.

Breeder Michelle Dunniece says that she knows a woman with alpacas who come into her kitchen from the farm when they hear the opening chords of the Coronation Street theme tune. "I'm not sure if they hum along to the theme tune, but you never know," she laughed.

Oh, I'd like to think they do.

When I look at that photo, it reminds me of fingerpuppets, I don't know why.

They are wonderful creatures and apparently bond well with humans. Maybe they just know that the theme song means a party with their human friends and head on over:)
