There's a Coronation Street exclusive spoiler in today's Sun that says the Rovers Return will burst into flames, burn down and kill off Sunita Alahan.
Take with your usual pinch of salt because the story comes from our good friend Mr Curry Sauce.
He says (I'm assuming it's a 'he') that Sunita goes loopy after finding out Karl has gone back to St Ella. And the next thing you know, the pub bursts into flames, kills Sunita and others are trapped.
It's a spring storyline that will “utterly devastate” The Rovers Return, it's claimed.
Curry Sauce tells The Sun: “When the fire is finally put out, The Rovers will stand in ruins.”

Yeah, not sounding all that likely to me. Besides, how many times can they burn down or blow up something on that street? They've written Sunita into a corner, sure, but this is a lazy and implausible way to get rid of her.
Me neither. St. Ella's made it very clear several times (so we all get it) that there's no way back for Carl. To take him back now would be several shades worse than implausible. He's not THAT persuasive.
It's probably the easiest way of explaining a rehash of the Rovers Return pub on new set - and maybe getting rid of a few annoying characters -
I might believe it if it were closer to the time when they move to the new studios but i think that's still some way off.
I agree...this explosion/fire thing is getting really old. Surely the writers can be more creative than that? Maybe it's time to get some new writers.
You can't put it past Collinson though as his crowning "sensational"storyline as he leaves the Street.
It seems he will do anything to destroy the possibility of the new producer being able to salvage the mess he has made of the Street.
Oh, if this is true, I hope Gail is somehow in the pub when it happens!
When I read this blog I wonder if I'm watching the same series as everyone else. I come here because I love Coronation Street - now as much as ever - but all I read is how awful everyone thinks it is. Why do you all still watch it?
Last night's double bill was great and I'm enjoying most of the stories right now. Tyrone's story has had me gripped. I'm not so keen on all the parenting stuff with the Windasses - adoptions, surrogate babies, step parents - but it's only one household among many. I really like Tracy too - who you all seem to hate - she gives a brilliant comic performance, much more sly and subtle than the likes of Julie or Mary who are too OTT for me.
Maybe all you lot who are moaning should take a break or accept that the programme isn't for you any more? Doesn't it get you down being so negative all the time?
I don't believe it either. Sunita got fed up of Karl and changed the locks. I can't see she would get loopy if he went back to Stella.
Maybe this is where Kirstie meets her demise..she does one final act of salvation and saves Tyrone from the fire and confesses all with her dying breath (ala Molly D.)
It was mentioned months and months ago that PC would like this to be his 'swan song' so either it's just the same rumour resurfacing or he's gotten his way and another 'explosive sensational' story is on it's way. Yawn!
If true I feel so sorry for the new Producer who will take an age to try and salvage the mess Phil Collinson has left this once marvelous programme.
It wouldn't surprise me either if Kirsty confessed with her dying breath just like Molly, the way they recycle story lines that's what will probably happen. They will get out the old script, dust it down and change a few names. That's what seems to have been happening of late. They've been so busy concentrating on the explosive bits that they've forgotten how to write good solid dialogue!
If anyone burns the Rovers I can see it would be Karl. He still holds a torch for Stella (get it, torch). Perhaps he sees her and Jason going in, he is drunk, there is a row. We know he can be vindictive. He decides to burn it with the pair of them in it.
we all know that there is a new Corrie set being built away from Manchester so to burn the Rovers will be a good way of building a new one and making a fitting exit for Sunita.
I bet the Barlow house at no1 will hardly to be touched !
If this is true it's possible that more than Sunita might be culled from the cast at the same time. I'd wager that at least two or three people will die.
Kirsty will die, yes, but most likely not here. I think that Fiz is going to find a way to trap Kirsty in her lies so that the entire street turns against her, and that she'd lose custody of Ruby. And then Tyrone will be let out of prison, get Ruby, and have good times at last... until Kirsty kidnaps him and invades Fiz's house, revealing that she didn't succeed the "last time" in killing Fiz. She'll leave them to die and try to escape with Ruby, but something will happen, they will escape in the nick of time and Kirsty will end up dying by her own scheme (probably by the house exploding).
Lets hope mandy is in there too
Which character(s) would you like to see die in the Rovers fire? I vote for Tracyluv, Sally, Norris, Kirsty, Mandy, Rob, Ryan, and Beth. I'd add Faye, too, but I'm pretty sure her dad will be whisking her off the cobbles soon.
I live in Media City and the new set is far fron finished. The street is built but its a long way off completion. Im suprised they dudnt burn the Rovers down nearer to the time of relocating
I am just hoping and praying that it won't be Ben Price who plays Nick he is my fave I love him and he is gorgeous so please don't let it be him! :)
I think Karl will die to
