The battle lines have been drawn for control of the perm solution and cut and colours at Audrey's hair salon on Coronation Street. Now I like Audrey, and I also like David. But who should win the battle for the hair salon? There's only one way to find out! VOTE!

Yes, she built the business, and yes, she trained him up, and yes, she's active and never seriously thought of retiring, but Audrey is acting crazy right now, and David has the law on his side. If she is still competent, then she needs to find a compelling and legal way to dissolve the contract. Tearing up papers is just (more) dramatical silliness.
Agree Audrey is acting like an old dear that has lost her marbles, and why does she suddenly want the money - to spend on a younger bloke that already duped her once! She cant just sign the salon over to David to take it back when the fancy takes her. Its about time that salon which is stuck firmly in 1970 was dragged into the year 2012 and David and Kaylie are the ones to do it.
Even though I'd be with Audrey on almost anything else, in this case, she's given David the salon already; it's now his to do what he wants with. Sorry Aud, but too late.
Personally I voted for David because I think Audrey is an old fool BUT there is an easy compromise here. Why wouldn't David say to Audrey that he will give her back the salon after a certain period of time, say six months? If Lewis is serious, then he will still be there by then. But if David and Gail are right, chances are he will have shown his true colors by then. Sounds like a reasonable compromise that takes into account everyone's concerns.
Voted David because I think he really wants to protect his Gran. As much as I love Audrey, she is an old fool in love, she should consider downsizing her house and get the money from that if she's so intent at throwing money at her gigilo!
I am SO confused. If Audrey signed over the salon to David, that must be the same as selling it to him...no? But then if that is the case where is the money for her retirement..? I just don't get it??????
Well I'm sorry but at the end of the day if Audrey wants to go all doolally over Lewis then it's up to her.
Everyone is accusing Lewis of just wanting her money, but isn't that exactly what Kylie is mostly about!
Didn't she only sign the salon over to David (not sold it to him), to avoid him having to pay death duties or some such on it when she pops her clogs. Legally, yes it's his, but it was a technicality and a name only thing that he was fully aware of at the time.
I think the previous poster had it right when they said David should agree to sign it back to her in 6 months, then in that time everyone can see if Lewis is genuine or not.

I'm no expert, but my understanding is that no death duties are paid on the first £325,000 of the estate. I can't believe a back-street salon is worth a third of a million pounds! Even with the Grassmere Drive house thrown in, I doubt there's be death duties to pay.
IMO Audrey will have a mild heart attack in the coming weeks which will put an end to the bickering over the salon and they'll all kiss and make up. Lewis will hit te bricks professing his undying love for Aud but, it's all for the best so he'll swan off into the sunset while Audrey cries in Gail's arms.
The old evil David will surface finally (hopefully-can't stand seeing him as a doormat for Kylie)
