No matter that they said we'd still get catch up during the NHL hockey playoffs, CBC is cutting back the extra episodes between April 11 and June 13 back to the old schedule of a half hour a day. This isn't so bad, though, because they'll continue the catch up once the NHL Stanley Cup is awarded and we'll be caught up by September.
So, According to this schedule, and doing some looking on the schedule grid for other time zones:
Starting Wednesday April 11 Coronation Street will be showing ½ hour episodes daily.
On Wednesday April 11 to Friday April 13, the program airs ½ hour only as follows:
In Windsor, ON at 5:30 p.m. local time
Most other Ontario and Quebec and Atlantic time zone has Corrie at the usual 6:30 p.m. time slot.
Newfoundland start time is 7:00 p.m.
In Man/Sask/Alta/MTN/BC/PTN at 1 p.m. local time
The midnight broadcast will also be ½ hour in length but may be delayed due to NHL playoff games. Please check the CBC Program Guide for more information.
All of this week's episodes will be seen in the Sunday, April 15 Omnibus broadcast at its regular time. This broadcast will be 3 ½ hours.

STUPID HOCKEY (clench fist at the TV)
Lorraine Ottawa Ont
Lol, Lorraine!
Thanks, Tvor, for the info. Well, it's a good time of year for less TV. Still, one episode barely touches the sides.
Grrr! Frankly I think hockey and the Street have similar-sized audiences -- bad move by the CBC.
i hate this 1/2 hour stuff was getting to love the full hour show. stupid hockey lol anne1234ify
I thought we got TSN so that we
wouldn't be subjected to SPORTS
any longer!! Hmmmm......not happy!!!
The hockey playoffs generate a lot of money for CBC. They usually always have shifted Corrie's airtimes around the games but at least they have never suspended it altogether like they did with the Olympics (CTV in Canada has the Olympic broadcast rights again this year!)
Hmm, looking at tonight's schedule, I notice that hockey doesn't even start till 8 pm in Montreal. So why even cut the second episode? OK, maybe it affects other time zones & they have to do the same for everyone - still. Grumble.
HERE IS MY COMMMENT. HOCKEY HAS BROKEN UP ALOT OF MARRIAGES. CORONATION STREET HASN'T. CORRIE ST IS IMPORTANT THAN FRIGGIN HOCKEY END OF. MAGGIE FLEMING
Corrie has such a large audience. Please keep it on for the hour and also keep the time broadcasted 12-1. Stop interrupting this show!!!!!
I can't believe cbc is so disloyal to its watchers....people have been watching coronation street forever!!! why change to 1/2 hour? NOT GOOD....
