Brian would have been on a good salary as school principal, and presumably also as a senior council employee, so why doesn't he have his own house? It's ridiculous that a man of his age should be reduced to renting a room!
He and Julie owned the flat next to Rita's. There has never been anything said after they left whether they sold it or not. Nobody is living there at the moment.
Here's what I don't get about the flats scam: who actually OWNS the old mill that was being converted? If Vinnie & Phelan own it, (and they must, or it would never have got past the Planning Committee) then it's an asset that can either be sold to at least partially reimburse the investors, or - here's a radical idea - Phelan could seek a new investment partner and ACTUALLY CONVERT THE FLATS! If the fantasy flats were going to make Eileen and Jason comfortable for the rest of their lives, why not actually just do it?
Ah! So there is an empty flat on the street. Maybe that's where Caz is hiding.
That's a valid point. After all Vinny only took the initial deposits, there's no way a flat was going to only cost 15 thousand pounds.
For some reason though schemers always do this: they come up with an idea that could make a mint if really made but they just steal the investors' money instead.I guess it's fun for them to trick others.
I thought Steph and Luke lived in that flat with Andy and Michael.
I thought Andy & Steph and perhaps Luke, were living in the builder's yard flat. Wasn't that where Tina was living before she was killed? Michael had already moved back with Gail. I was under the impression that the corner flat was above Dev's, presuming that Sonia has already left and the flat is now empty.
Andy and STeph live over the builder's yard - correct. Flat over the shop is Dev's also correct. There is a second flat next to Rita's currently empty. Julie and Brian owned it when they left. He left first and they were talking about her buying out his half but it was never really resolved that I recall. She lived there until he returned and they left together. Possibly they've sold it but it's not been mentioned so if not, Brian is still part owner and he could live there. I think there's another available flat over the community centre as well. Eva and Aidan are in the kebab shop flat where Leanne was living though she's now back at Nick's. Roy and Cathy and Alex are over the cafe and the one over the community centre was at various times home to Martin Platt and also Janice Battersby.
Jason and Tina lived in number 12 when they were together, didn't Jason then sell it to Brian and Julie when he and Tina broke uр?
Actually, Tvor, I thought Janice was living in the flat above the property next door to the Community Centre (the entrance was round the corner, facing Victoria Court). So there may be an additional flat to the ones already listed.
As for where Luke is living - he did move back in with his parents for a while, after he left Fizz & Tyrone's, but nothing's been mentioned since his break-up with Maria. Pretty sure he's not with Andy & Steph, although they do have a spare room since Michael moved back to Gail's.
Thanks Tvor, I get totally confused. If there are two empty flats why on earth aren't they being used instead of shoehorning everyone into the houses.
