Sneak preview of tonight's double Corrie, Monday April 1

Coronation Street, Monday April 1, 2013 at 7.30pm

Jason's put out when Stella is discharged from hospital and insists Karl is welcome to stay on at No.13 with her. As Karl comforts Stella, who's emotional on seeing the burnt out pub, it's clear Jason has a right to be worried. She apologises for misjudging Karl. Meanwhile, the doctor warns Dev he should prepare himself for the possibility that they might have to switch off Sunita's life support machine.

Tyrone is subdued as he tells Fiz and Tina what's in store for him and Kirsty. Meanwhile, Julie realises she's got some serious bridge-building to do with her old friend Fiz.

Sylvia's horrified when Anna unwittingly sells two of Sylvia's brownies to Rita.

Eileen wishes she could do more to help Paul. Gary leans on Owen to give Tina some more hours at the builder's yard now she's not earning at the Rovers.

Stella and Karl continue to kiss but they leap apart when Jason arrives. Over dinner at the bistro, Jason tells Stella he's not happy that she's spending so much time with Karl and the couple row. Meanwhile, Dev's ecstatic when he gets a call from the hospital saying Sunita's showing signs of regaining consciousness. He spreads the word which consumes Karl with panic.

Eileen and Julie apologise to Fiz for siding with Kirsty and hope they can still be friends. Is Fiz prepared to forgive and forget?

Dennis is amused to hear some of Sylvia's cakes have been bought by unsuspecting customers until he finds out one of them is Rita. As Rita, Norris and Mary are about to tuck into the brownies Sylvia and Dennis race round.

Eileen mentions her concerns about Paul's state of mind to Dr. Carter. How will Paul react to Eileen's interference? Tina's thrilled when Owen offers her more hours at the builder's yard. Realising Gary was behind it, she thanks him.

Oh Jason Jason stop fawning around the Beige Lady, she is making a fool of you, you are handsome and young, go find someone else preferably without a horrendous scraggy old interfering bat of a mother with a creepy crush on the ex. You dont deserve this.

Where is "Mand" by the way, she hasnt been in it for ages and hasnt been mentioned re the fire, wouldnt she have had keys?

Oh no! I am thinking something is going to develop between Gary and Tina...poor Izzy:)

@njblas :

Yes, that's pretty much a given. I also predict that Tina will want to keep the baby. Legally, it's hers, but she'd have to return Owen's 50,000 pounds.

Here's something that's bothered me about the whole surrogacy story:

Why would Owen pay so much money to a woman to carry Gary's baby when she's presumably sleeping with another man at that time? Did I miss something?

Also, was one of Izzy's eggs implanted in Tina, or is Tina the real mother? I don't remember that part for some reason.

@Frosty:

The Jason/Beige Lady affair is now beyond ridiculous. It isn't the age difference; it's that she treats 'r Jason so badly, and he keeps coming back for more abuse. I guess he just loves the color beige.

Yes, we haven't seen Mandy for a while. I for one am thrilled. Mandy and Lloyd are unbelievable as a couple. There's absolutely no chemistry between them, and I cringe when they get affectionate. They're a total mismatch.

And a side note to those who hate that many of us bang on about St Ella all the time.

It's because she's in our faces every five minutes. We don't have to bash any other character in every blog simply because they're not on screen constantly, like she is.

Many of us don't like Sally or Tracy, for example, but we don't always have to comment on them because they're not down our throats in every single episode.

If you're a fan of Beige Lady, and you don't want to read constant negativity about the character, then ask the writers to reign her in.

But when she's in EVERY episode, she will get remarked on.

How is it that Ty got the baby? Wasn't he charged with kidnapping etc..he's not even registered as her father from what I rememeber, or is that all going to be forgotten as well?
I also don't (never did) understand Jason's attraction to Stella..a one off maybe but now he's fighting for her and she treats him like so much extra baggage. Next thing you know, he'll be putting the moves on Gloria, who is a vile character and should have gone up with the RR..IMO.

It infuriates me that Stella stuck her oar in to prevent Dev and Sunita from reconciling, yet continues to coo over Karl at Jason's expense. Get rid!

Wouldn't they be questionning why Sunita would have a set of keys to the Rovers when she wasn't even working there - if in fact staff do have keys, as Frosty said Mandy should be asked then. No one has mentioned or seen her - better check under the Rovers rubble......

I'm curious as to how Sunita's purse got to the hospital?
