Coronation Street fan of the week - Dean in Salford

It's Wednesday and time to meet another Corrie fan of the week.
Would you like to be our Corrie fan of the week?
Click here to find out more.

Who are you and where are you from?
I am Dean Graham from Salford, Manchester, home of Corrie.

How long have you been watching Corrie?
I have been watching all my life so from the early 90s, I was a bit too young to be watching earlier than that but I bought the box sets so I have caught up.

Who are your favourite female and male characters - and the reasons why?
My favourite female character is Rita Tanner because she is amazing, she loves a drink and a sing song and is so glamorous and kind. My favourite male character is Ken as he is the heart of the street and is always there for his community.

What's been some of your favourite Corrie storylines over the years?
My favourite storylines have been the Richard Hillman campaign of terror in 2002-2003 as his story encompassed so many of the legendary characters. My favourite Corrie moments ever have been the Bet, Betty and Fred Gee car in the lake and Gail throwing a Manchester tart in Deirdre's face.

And what would your fantasy Corrie storyline be?
My fantasy story would be all the characters gathered in the Rovers during a crisis and they talk about the past and have a good old sing song much like earlier this year.

Have you any snippets or news about meeting any of the Corrie cast, or trips to the set, etc., that you'd like to share?
Yes, I met Sue Nicholls (Audrey Roberts) yesterday!

You've got quite a collection Dean! I haven't got the 1960s or 2000s DVDs. Yet. :)

Nice to see a young fan liking the Streets older residents and mentioning the car in the lake. They really should show classic Corrie, so others can see how good it used to be.
