Joe Duttine returns to Coronation Street

Actor Joe Duttine returns to Coronation Street next week as Faye's real dad, Tim.  Joe has previously been on Corrie before as copper Max Carr who led the police investigation into Joe McIntyre's death.

Little Faye gets stuck into her internetting next week and Anna wonders what she's doing spending so much time online.  And when a strange man arrives at the house looking for Faye, Anna jumps to the wrong conclusions and thinks he's an internet weirdo.

But it's Faye's dad, and while Anna isn't best pleased to see him turn up, young Faye is over the moon.  Wonder if he'll be sticking around long?

I hope he is around for a good while - I rather like him

Perhaps he could be taken in by Anna and work for Owen and help raise Faye.

This was discussed here some time ago, as almost inevitable.

Now, it's come to pass.

I know Anna is very popular, but I find her extremely irritating. Yes, some people are irritating and if that's the intention, great, it's worked. Anna, of course, probably won't bother contacting the social worker to support them through this but will sprinkle love dust over the family, and all will be well. I do hope the producers bring in social services involvement to keep it real. It would make it more interesting as Anna might ignore their advice.

When's Eddie coming back ? As a changed man (?) to see his grandchild ? . Can't wait , as a changed man he can plant one on Owen who I can't stand and break up he and Anna. . As for Faye - who cares ? Definitely not me. She's a good little actress but unlikeable as Faye

Haha - the first anonymous made me laugh out loud! Another to join the seemingly ever-expanding Windass/Armstrong clan.

Humpty Dumpty - I've been convinced for years now that soap executives only ever speak to social workers about storylines so that they can say "we consulted a social worker" when it all goes wrong!

I'm still not sure why exactly Max got taken off Becky or given back to Kylie and Faye's adoption went through in about five minutes.

I hope this means the end to the 'lovely' Owen the bully returns...giving Anna something to think about.

Oh no, not more air time to the very annoying Windass-Armstrong clan. Or should we call them the Windstongs?

How can she be 'surprised' that Faye is on her laptop so much when she sends her off, either to do her homework or to put her 'jim jams' on.

And I agree with a comment above, Anna has become increasingly annoying, spreading love dust and good cheer everywhere when she was ghastly and downright awful to poor Joe McIntyre! Another character that has had a total transformation since her time on the street.

Her oven must be industrial sized too the way she invites half the street over for their tea every night - how does she afford to do that on cafe wages?

I seriously hope that Faye's dad puts a cat amongst the pigeons because this smug lot grate on me.

why is a middle aged man even talking to a young kid on line - unless they are going to do a paedo story. Frosty has disliked simpering and silly Anna Windass for a very long time. The Windstrong clan are very creepy indeed and never stop eating.
