Slick Nick: A Rant

Nick Tilsley is making a habit of ticking me off. Oh, I think Ben Price is doing a fine job but the character is getting slimier and more of a lowlife every day. This is nothing new for Nick, mind you, he's got a long history of it. Selfish, arrogant and persistent, that's RNicky. I've blogged a longer rant about it over here.

With David you at least know you've got a loose cannon; Nick is too "smooth" to be trusted, but they do!
Don't like him!

Thanks for the blog!

I just cannot take the character of Nick seriously, he looks just like Pug from the Beano. With the previous actor you could believe that Leanne would go for him as he was young and handsome but this incarnation? He is just laughed at on most of the web boards.

There a number of characters on the street that don't seem to have anywhere to go anymore. Stories are being recycled just to keep them there.

I wonder then why Ashley was killed off when SO MANY others could have also gone to the cobbles in the sky at the same time. I loved Ashley and Graham together. They didn't need to use him much just keep him as a 'normal' bloke. There seems to be so many incredible characters right now, it doesn't seem like real Corrie with real people.

Those that are passed their sell by date for sure are the following......

Can anyone dream up a storyline each....? (Seems the very weak story and script writers sure as heck can't).

Nick, Tracy, Tina, Dev, Sunita, Gail, Maria, Cheryl and her husband, Kevin and Sally (their story seems to be going round and round in cirlces it's been recycled so many times (Though losing Sally Dynevor as an actress would be a sin)

I guess the story and script writers are exhausted after all the crash plots. Shame as December was telly at it's best.

the writing/story line team needs some fresh blood,
it's obvious some of the current staff are just resting on their laurels and just coasting along.

It's a shame really as eventually the audience will become fed up.

I would have thought that the holiday episodes would have energized the writing staff, especially with all the positive feedback they got from viewers and media.

Don't they know know that we're watching this Nick Nonsense and hate it? This is the real train crash.
