The Rovers Return pub at Madame Tussauds Blackpool has made the decision to stop serving alcohol for Go Sober for October.
The fully-licensed tavern based on the infamous Coronation Street pub will turn off the beer taps, hide the spirit bottles and transform all cocktails to mocktails, as Madame Tussauds Blackpool encourages visitors to try an alcohol-free drink this October.
Matthew Titherington, general manager at Madame Tussauds Blackpool said: “Our Rovers Return area is the place to be to mingle with all your favourite Coronation Street stars as visitors are invited to sit back and enjoy a drink and watch famous clips from the show.
“We are looking forward to supporting Go Sober for October and giving our resident barmaid Bet Lynch a well-deserved break from pulling punters pints.”
Go Sober for October has seen over 64,000 Brits ditch the booze and raise funds for MacMillan Cancer Support.
