WEDNESDAY 30TH OCTOBER
CHESNEY PUTS THE BRAKES ON Sick of the constant press presence outside the house Gemma says she wishes she could just get away for the day. Using Bernie as a decoy with a blanket over her head they get rid of the press and Chsney says they are going out for the day to Llandudno. In a cable car he seizes the opportunity and proposes - and Gemma goes into labour and Chesney pulls the emergency brake!
FIZ MAKES A CONFESSION Fiz takes a call from her Mum who reveals she’s had an accident and is currently in hospital. Jade assures Fiz that she’ll look after the girls while she goes to see to her Mum. However when Hope hears Fiz’s plans to go away, she becomes upset and angry. Fiz confides in Jade that she suspects Hope was responsible for the recent factory fire, she’s clearly back to her old ways and she can’t possibly leave her like this.
GAIL FORCES NICK TO FACE UP TO HIS ACTIONS Having taken a phone call from the wedding venue, Shona tells Gail and Sarah that the balance of money is due today but there’s no guarantee David will be out of prison in time. Shona reads a text from Imran informing her that David has been charged with attempted murder. Shona begs Nick to bury the hatchet and help his brother.
ELSEWHERE Yasmeen and an overly excited Geoff announce that they’ve bought Zeedan’s share of Speed Daal. Tim’s impressed to learn that his Dad now owns a business. Yasmeen assures Alya that Geoff will be an asset to the business. Alya’s sceptical.
WEDNESDAY 30TH OCTOBER
GEMMA’S PREGNANCY IS HANGING BY A CABLE As the cable car swings in the breeze Gemma panics whilst Chesney calls an ambulance. Is Gemma about to give birth up in the clouds?
JADE HAS HER FEET FIRMLY UNDER THE TABLE Jade persuades Fiz that it’s her duty to go and look after her Mum and Hope will be in safe hands with her and Tyrone. Fiz gives Jade a grateful hug. Jade cooks a lovely meal for Tyrone and Evelyn. Afterwards she hands Tyrone a present. Tyrone’s thrilled to find it’s a dart board. Evelyn challenges them both to a game.
GAIL IS THE YIN TO THE PLATTS YANG Gail calls the family together at No.8 and tells them she’s sick of all the infighting and it’s time they pulled together.
ELSEWHERE Clearly enjoying his new owner status, Geoff invites Sally, Tim, Abi and Faye to join him and Yasmeen for dinner at Speed Daal. When Geoff announces he’s nipping out for some wine, Yasmeen worries that Alya will disapprove.

Why is Fiz leaving Corrie again?
What is the point of this Jade, apart from making trouble between Fiz and Tyrone? It feels like there are so many characters now, some are totally superfluous and give the impression it's someone who's wandered onto the set by accident.
It says to look after her mum again, but it's really just to give the opportunity for Tyrone and Jade to have a fling. Next thing to happen will be that Evelyn has to be away for some spurious reason.
Fizz has only been back five minutes and she's going again!
How did Bernie find Chesney's ring for Gemma so soon?
How did Rita, Bernie and Paul manage to travel to Wales in such a short space of time? And where's Kel?
Doesn't Nick look awful with that beard?
