New character! Italian stallion joins Coronation Street

Pic: Wales Online
Coronation Street is set to get a new Italian stallion on the cobbles when Luca Malacrino joins the show next month.

Corrie bosses have sworn Luca to secrecy about the details of the newest addition to the cobbles, but he can reveal he’ll appear in multiple episodes as a recurring Italian character “full of passion, style and charisma.”

He is due to make his debut in the second episode airing Wednesday, February 6.

Luca is a lifelong Corrie fan. He says. “Around eight million people watch it per week, which is a pretty brilliant feeling. I can’t wait to show what I can do with this character. He’s fiery, Italian, stylish, and a lot of fun.”

You can read the full interview with Luca at Wales Online.

As he's Italian, I wonder if his arrival will have anything to do with Sarah, Bethany and their Uncle Stephen in Milan?  Could be interesting to find out!

He must be a coр or a nurse - so much screentime рotential there with Corrie's most-used locations! :)

He looks like a lovely young man. But another new character when there are so many current characters sadly underused.

I also wonder why a new character is brought in when there are so many more interesting characters who are severly underused.
I also don't like the possibility that this new Italian character may possibly be used to justify another story line for Sarah and Bethany both of whom have been featured too much already.

Great to see an interesting new character introduced. Although this comment will likely be deleted as it doesn't match the agenda of the bloggers!

They might have sworn him to secrecy but no doubt the tabloids will tell us everything.
