So it seems Corrie writers are determined to turn Carla into a cougar. Well, it makes for interesting scenes I'm sure. This is, after all, a soap.
I don't what's worse,David's rapist stalking him[why would Josh be at Harry's birthday party]or Fiz allowing Ruby to take the blame for Hope's bad behaviour as revenge for Tyrone and Gemma's one night stand, only confessing after poor Ruby was hit by her father and is afraid of him.
All the storylines are way too dark now.
Well...I guess we now know why Carla and Michelle have a falling out.
I would take issue with my best mate hooking up with my son as well!
But did the producers not say that this is what they were NOT going to do with Carla? Have her go from one guy to the next? That she was going to be moving in new directions?
Very upset with what the writers are doing with Fizz and Tyrone - why could they not have just left them alone to get on with being the new Jack and Vera they were destined to be? Why not allow one family unit to be happy? why not allow a family unit to stay together with no drama? Just sad really.
I'm always confused when Fiz and Tyrone are compared to Jack and Vera in terms of being a happy couple. Yes, Jack and Vera stayed together, but they were forever rowing and making each other's lives miserable - in a reliable, faithful way, of course.
No, not in a faithful way. Jack had affairs with Bett Lynch and Dulce Froggett (and with others, it was implied). Vera too had her moments (she went home with a guy after a night out with Ivy recently on Classic Corrie). To be honest, the closest match I can see to a latterday Jack & Vera is Steve and Tracy. Vera, like Tracy, could be a really nasty piece of work, but also very funny. Steve has Jack’s fecklessness and laziness.
Thanks Cobblestone, that's an excellent point!
I agree Cobblestone, The only resemblance I see is that Fiz has become an overbearing harpy like Vera was, although she is not at all fun.
