Coronation Street Spoiler: Billy in drugs overdose

The previews are in for next week’s Corrie and Billy overdoses on the painkillers.

Eileen and Eva are shocked to find a comatose Billy in the flat and having found a bottle of dodgy looking painkillers Eva immediately suspects that Adam has been giving them to Billy.

Billy breaks down and tells Eva and Eileen that the painkillers are the only thing keeping him going and they promise to help him get better. Billy then goes to Dr Gaddas for stronger painkillers but is told he is on the strongest allowed. So,  Billy steals Izzy’s painkillers from her bag.

Billy’s not the only one struggling however, with Todd gone. Summer’s school work is starting to suffer as she tries to cope with the household chores but she is putting on a brave face. Billy is devastated when he realises she has accidently put the tablets he took from Izzy in the washing machine and he sets about trying to get some more from Adam.

OH FGS! I wish they would write Billy out, his character is not now needed and is totally ruined anyway. Summer should go and live with her granny, she's surplus to requirements too.

Billy will be stealing a disabled woman's medication? A woman he knows once turned to illegal drugs for her pain when her medication wasn't enough and got in terrible trouble for doing that?? I agree with Anonymous at 11:01. The character is ruined.

If the show doesn't want a bigot to win have the grandfather ditch Geraldine and come get his granddaughter on his own but this isn't working at all.

This storyline would have worked out so much better if Bruno Langley that played Todd hadn't gone and gotten himself sacked. With Todd around, this little family with Summer would actually made sense, but what is happening now is just getting stupid.

It was heartening to see Billy, Todd and Summer as a family unit with Eileen stepping up also. Todd was the stronger man in many ways. Pity, pity, pity.

Please give Bruno Langley his job back. He is the missing lynchpin!
