Corrie actors to be allowed to write their own scripts
A little snippet of news has come to the Blog via The Daily Star who reported this week that Coronation Street bosses are to let the cast help write their own storylines. The Star says that the move is in a bid to stop an exodus of stars from the show, but I suspect that's just tabloid talk.
However, if it's true, then it's an interesting move, to let the actors have more artistic and creative input into their character storylines.
And the Star quotes Corrie's Jane Danson, who plays Leanne Battersby as saying: “We can put our creative points of view across now."
Interesting....
Anyway, as to that "exodus of stars" which the Star refers to, find out who's leaving, joining and returning to the show here.

Great idea. Who knows the characters better than the actors themselves?
