Helen Flanagan goes back to acting school
Helen Flanagan, who plays Rosie Webster in Coronation Street, has been attending an acting class in that London.
Helen posted a picture of herself to Instagram this week, showing her outside of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in London
Had the most amazing time on my two week course at RADA, absolutely loved it 💖xxx
The tabloids are being somewhat cruel about this, but it's what any actor would love to do, I'm sure. Indeed, anyone who wants to get on in their chosen career can only do better by learning from experts and I fully applaud Helen for taking time out of Corrie to progress in the craft of acting.
Colson Smith, who plays Craig Tinker, recently attended an acting school in New York. Good on them both, I say.

Good to know she acknowledges her acting skills are sadly lacking.
I agree, good for them - both for going on the courses and for risking the inevitable comments. It must be really hard for child actors to develop their range in a long-running show. I also suspect soap actors get very little professional coaching on set due to lack of time. Evidently, these two young people want more than a life time career in Corrie. Good luck to them.
Well done to them both.
Ah, the snide comments! As it happens, it's common even for actors with a lot of experience to take courses throughout their career, often because they want to do workshops with a particular director or vocal coach they admire. Most actors subscribe to the view that 'we never stop learning'. As Humptey says above, some of the Corrie cast never had the chance to attend acting school (although probably went to stage school - which is training for kids, as opposed to adults). Helen should be applauded for taking the time out to do this.
Most careers involve upgrading your skills through classes and workshops. I think it is very sensible of her to want to improve her performances by taking advantage of such classes. Shame on anyone who would use this as an opportunity to put her down.
She was a little girl when she started on this show and is mature enough to want to improve herself.
Agree with everyone saying good on her. I enjoy her portrayal of Rosie and wish her well.
Its not that she is a bad actress. She is playing Rosie as it is written.
