I'm not sure what impact Suzie had on the Street but she was pretty much the only reason to watch Corrie for a teenaged boy in the late 70s
Suzie left the Street under a cloud after she tried it on with Brian Tilsley and unfortunately we've not seen much of Cheryl on TV since as she's been bringing up her daughter and dealing with Multiple Sclerosis. She was briefly in Emmerdale and also appeared in the video for Morrissey's "Everyday is Like Sunday". It'll be good to see her on our screens again, this coming Monday 9th June at 8pm on ITV.
Other faces from the past will include Amanda Barrie (Alma Baldwin) and Brian Capron (Richard Hillman). Let's hope they can get the history right this time.

Looking forward to seeing Suzie. I remember when she worked as a machinist at the factory (like everyone does) and was very cocky and Ivy the supervisor tried to find fault with her work and couldnt! She was sassy AND smart.
Excellent!
I really do fail to get all this love for Suzie from what I've seen of her she was a selfish stuck up cow who conned and wheedled her way into people's homes
I am disappointed that it's only for half an hour. She deserves an hour at least for 40 years! Especially with Gail's history.
How fab it is to discover the cheeky, a charming yet manipulative and quite a fun time girl of early 70s. I recall her fling with Terry Duckworth at a time when girls her age were either 'up for fun with fellas' or curious and wondering.
I also remember her and Gail working for Mike Baldwin in his shop that sold Denim clothes.
What a dreadful injustice that she had to stop working completely due to ill heath. The cruel disease affecting brain function and spinal cord. No cure, just. steady deterioration of her brain and body.
