Marc Baylis joins pantomime this Christmas

Marc Baylis, who plays Coronation Street killer Rob Donovan, is leaving Corrie later this year, as we already know.

TV Times reports now that he will be starring as Prince Charming in Pantomime this Christmas.

Marc will be in Sleeping Beauty at the Churchill Theatre, Bromley from 28 November to 4 January.

Oh yes he is.

Panto always seems to be the natural next step for Corrie leavers.

That's because it's a very lucrative gig for a very short period, Frosty. It's not that they can't get other work, just that they'd be daft to turn down the offer while weighing up other options. Panto producers are always looking for a Name fresh out of a popular soap to headline. And contrary to popular belief, panto is not some easy option - it's incredibly tiring, due t the energy required (if it's done right). I am a little surprised though that they've cast Mark Baylis as Prince Charming fresh of plying a killer. Villain would be more appropriate.

Ah, but doesn't Marc Baylis look every inch the prince in that mock-up outfit? :)
