It looks like Dennis helps support Rita in grieving over Tina's death, next week on Coronation Street.
And our question today is, if Rita is thawing towards Dennis - as appears to be the case - whether you think Rita should forgive Dennis and take him back? I say Nay. Send him packing, Reet. He's always been a bad 'un and he always will.

Rita deserves someone and Dennis is better than Norris so give him another chance.
Yay!!!!!! A great character, we need him on the show.
I hope he stays... and is finally given some proper storylines.
He's not bad, just weak. And he does seem to genuinely love Rita, although God knows why, when she was treating him like a lapdog.
With or without Rita, he is too good a character to lose.
Yes, he should stay and return to the comedy character of old.
Yay! We need Dennis to stay on!
I feel there could be much more to Dennis, if given the right material to work with.
Rita would always have to be in the position of authority, but if she came to trust him again, or at least have second thoughts on their relationship, I would say they could make a good team.
He still appears to love her, despite her horrid treatment of him, he must see beyond that, as many partners do.
Yes! Dennis should stay. He could get up to all kinds of mischief and drive Rita bats with his nonsense.
I certainly want him to stay on the show as Dennis is a classic character, and Philip Lowery deserves better treatment from the writers. I'm not too fussed whether he remains in a couple with Rita or not, so long as they write decent material for him. Let's see him develop his relationship with his newly-discovered family, Julie and Eileen, and when Ken returns, let's see them cultivate their old friendship/rivalry.
I thought the actor was leaving at the end of the year so any reconciliation would be short-lived. Am I the only one who thinks Rita and Dennis together is a mistake? He's a cheeky chappie who should be ducking and diving with his various schemes and taking ladies for nights out - as long they pay. Tptb tried to show that Dennis and Rita could slow down to a comfortable pace in their golden years, but Rita was too po-faced. I would rather see Rita and Norris become good companions and Dennis could lodge with Lloyd (that could be fun).
I get what Talia is saying about unlikely partnerships, such as Tim and Sally for example, but Dennis isn't used well when he's with Rita.
I would also like Dennis to stay on as he and Rita are good together and it will be nice to have more scenes with the older generation.Besides I have a feeling Rita will need someone to look out for her when Tina's mum arrives.
Yay! Give him some decent storylines ( I'm sure the participants on this blog could come up with some if the writers can't!) and keep him.Let there be some interaction with more characters ... Ken & Emily who he knew from the past. He's been homeless so there's a connection with Maddie & Sophie How about a friendship with Roy? They are different enough to make it work ...... I'm sure there are a lot better ideas!
I would like to see Dennis stay, even if he is not together with Rita.
If they keep Dennis and Rita together, I would like to see Rita come to some sort of realisation that her unpleasant treatment of him played some role in pushing him away. Perhaps then, they could push the "reset" button on their relationship and become the senior couple with a sense of humour and fun. Rita used to be fun and have a sense of adventure. Maybe Dennis could help her get that back, if she stopped judging him. And Dennis, realising that he had nearly lost something he valued, could become a "slightly" more responsible person.
I'd like to see him stay but not as Rita's husband. I don't think she should forgive him and take him back. That parting scene with him driving away with Gloria was so horribly hurtful and despicable, it was hard to watch. Can you imagine that really happening to you? I know I could never forgive someone for doing that to me, ever.
So yes, keep him on as friend to Roy or whatever, but not for Rita.
Yay! I hate what they did to Dennis with that Gloria story line. Give him and Rita a nice juicy story line and get them back together!!
Yay!! He is best partner for Rita since Len. Hope he stays!!
I love Dennis Tanner, great character, but I do think that Rita is too old for him.
Having said that, I would rather see Rita with Dennis than with Norris. God forbid they should ever pair those two up!!!
I would say...let him go back to Glo and her fancy car...tata Dennis....Rita is MUCH better without you... A class girl is our Rita....
