They're at it again. CBC has rescheduled Coronation Street during the world cup, weekdays between June 12 and July 13. Corrie will be airing in most time zones at 11:00 a.m. (11:30 Newfoundland).
Alberta and British Columbia get Corrie at 6:30 p.m. so it won't be as big a change there.
The Sunday omnibus will remain the same but as always, check your local listings!

Thanks, Tvor. I was trying to catch the little blurb at the bottom of the screen but I am visually impaired. Oh, how I hate sports!
It's too bad we can no longer watch it on YouTube.
Yes, thanks Tvor.
The banner notice of rescheduling kept changing throughout Tuesday's episode; confusing! For once, I'm glad of the Sunday omnibus; can't miss Tina's death scenes!
What was I thinking? ITV would never allow "Gail and Me" to be seen on You Tube either :(
Luckily for us, we watch Corra on Hulu, so our viewing will be unaffected by dull, overrated children's games.
As log as Sunday is the same I'm good!
I am fortunate that I can record Corrie (as long as I have the correct time) but I feel for the working folks and the shut-ins who don't have the luxury of a PVR. When my son was in highschool he volunteered at a senior's care home and he told me when he walked down the hall in the afternoons he'd hear the familiar Corrie tune.
World Cup is only every four years, I think people can live with the change for a few weeks. I do find it odd that anyone would equate a fake story soap opera show as being miles more important than a sporting event that the majority of the world enjoys. Why be so snarky just because you don't understand it?
Most people are happy that it brings the world together for something other than bad news and wars.
A change is better than cancelling it altogether like they used to do for the Olympics, every four or two years depending on if CBC had the contract to televise it. They never caught us up so in Canada at one point, we were nearly 11 months behind the UK dates
First it was the Stanley Cup NHL hockey playoffs that moved Corrie to a 3pm timeslot and now some sort of world cup event has bumped it even earlier.
But we STILL get to see it!
Even though I've been less than pleased of late with the show, I still appreciate the opportunity to watch it if I want to,and to be only 10 days or so behind the U.K.
Thank you C.B.C.!
Seriously, it's so much better to be only 2 weeks behind than 10 months behind. That was ridiculous, and I'm glad CBC has smartened up.
Considering there will be more people in Canada watching the World Cup than Corrie, I'm happy they are at least still showing it and not stopping altogether. Now I can watch both!
3pm used to be Corrie's time slot before it was moved to the evening
