Reminder: Cilla Black's on Coronation Street tonight - sort of

Cilla Black will star in a special Coronation Street scene tonight when she walks down the cobbles and has a drink in the Rovers Return with Rita and Norris.

 

It's all part of the Cilla Black special The One & Only Cilla Black to mark her 50 years in showbiz. It's on TV tonight (Wednesday 16 October) at 9pm on ITV immediately after the one hour long special of Coronation Street ends.

 

In the scene, Cilla goes into the Rovers and Rita and Norris struggle to place her. They decide that she's someone they know from the 60s, when Rita herself was a singer. Cilla laughed: "I play myself and I walk in the pub and no-one realises it's me."
