Sneak preview of tonight's Corrie, Wednesday April 3

Coronation Street, Wednesday April 3 2013 at 7.30pm

Dev keeps a vigil by Sunita's bed as she shows signs of progress. When her eyelids flicker, Dev's buoyed with new hope and goes to phone the kids, telling the police he's convinced Sunita's innocent and as soon as she's able to talk, they'll realise he's right. But while Dev's out of the room, a dramatic turn of events sees Sunita lose her fight for life. As the doctor breaks the news to Dev that Sunita is dead, he struggles to take in the horrible truth.

After the ordeal of the trial, Tyrone and Kirsty face each other in the prison visiting room for the first time. Tyrone makes it clear he wants nothing more to do with her.

When Dennis puts his back out, he begs Sylvia to let him have some of her cakes to help with the pain. Gary and Izzy are excited about Tina's next scan. Gary begs Tina to find out if it's a boy or a girl but Izzy won't hear of it. Gary puts pressure on Tina to secretly let him know.

More ludicrousness to come with Sunita in an intensive care ward, the victim or a suspect of arson, yet there is nobody around bar her ex husband Dev, no policeman, no CCTV. So anyone can walk in, plant evidence and probaby pull out her tubes with absolutely nobody noticing anything at all? Says a lot for our Health Service!!!

It's obvious that Karl disconnects Sunita.

1) I have never heard of this happening anywhere in the world. Ever.

2) Another serial killer! That's 3 in a decade.

Corrie is nothing but the TV equivalent of a trashy airport novel.

Assuming it was possible for Sunita to pull out her own ventilator tubes, isn't it more likely the doctors would say that she was in a confused state and did it accidentally? Are we supposed to accept that the police think Sunita regained consciousness for a few minutes, lay there wondering how to end her life and then pulled out her tubes? If the writers want a suicide element, let Gloria suggest that's what happened.

Do the Corrie writers think that British cops and hospital staff are that stupid? Or that we are?25606

Love the above comments. Carry on Doctor meets the Keystone cops meets Jackie Collins. I will now be able to enjoy watching this episode.

Sad end for a long time character. They should have done better by her instead of this moronic plot. Now, we have to wait while Karl wanders around aimlessly for the next few months looking worried and guilty.

It's too bad we can't get Peter to take bets on how long before Karl gets busted, with side bets on how it happens. He went from gambling to theft to manslaughter to murder. What's left?

I hope Natalie Gumede gets diverse roles. So often soap villains get offered variations of the characters that first played.
