Hello all, my name is Caroline Guy and I live in Montreal Qc Canada.
How long have you been watching Corrie?
Who are your favourite female and male characters - and the reasons why?
I would have to say my current favorite female character is "Scary Mary". She's a square peg in a round hole. She is socially awkward, very eccentric, misunderstood with hidden depths and has a heart of gold.
My favourite current male character would have to be Jason Grimshaw. He's handsome, kind, loving, and even though silly young women keep breaking his heart he doesn't give up hope, and continues to be a good kind soul.
What's been some of your favourite Corrie storylines over the years?
I have to say that my favorite story line is the recent one with Tyrone and Kirsty. It was so incredibly well acted and true to life. It was interesting that the abuser was a woman as we are so conditioned to assume that abusers are mainly men. We probably don't know the statistics regarding abused men since they are less likely to come forward and do not have as many resources. Hopefully this storyline will create awareness and encourage people to reach out for help.
And what would your fantasy Corrie storyline be?
It is a dream of mine to one day visit the Corrie set with my mother. Until then I look forward to escaping for half an hour to Coronation Street 5 nights a week.
