It sounds like Faye is about to take desperate measures to be with her biological father who, it seems, is going to move into the Street. According to the Daily Star, if they've got it right, she accuses Anna of hitting her and is removed from the home by Social Services who investigate a devastated Anna. Owen assures her that Faye is making up stories but you can see where this will quickly get out of hand. It's the child's word against the parent.
It might not come to much, though, since Faye never really thinks these things through but it will be heartbreaking for Anna just the same. I'm not surprised at this turn of events, should it be true, as Faye is already established as a child that will lie and sneak around to get what she wants. Tim seems a reasonable bloke so far, though he has no reason not to believe Faye. Perhaps he'll be the one that sees through her lies in the end.

If she wants to leave, let her go. Tired of that kid's petulance.
Horrible horrible child. I wish they would write her and her father out. I don't agree with you that Tim seems a reasonable bloke so far - he always has a sneaky, smug look on his face.
I really hope that the writers aren't thinking of putting Anna and Tim together - that would be enough to make me stop watching altogether!
It's a pity smacking children is now frowned upon - that awful girl needs a swift backhander. Ugh!
Owen is the one who should be worried regardless of whether or not Faye is lying about Anna hitting her there are quite a few people who know that Owen has hit and abused Faye in the past including the computer incident when he pushed her around when he grabbed and broke her computer.
When social services get wind of what Owen has done Anna will have more than Faye to blame for the adoption going pear shaped.
Maybe we will finally get rid of this bully.
If Social Services remove Faye, she would be placed with foster parents away from her current address. Obviously, Faye didn't take that into account, thinking she would go straight to Tim's. She'll run away and maybe her lies will unravel. Tim's an unknown quantity and he could give back-handers much the same way as Owen does. I'm not engaged at all with this story. Faye isn't a nice child and she's not meant to be, but she doesn't get a chance to show us what she's going through. Every primary school has an employee with child protection duties. Why don't we see Faye talking with a teacher about her feelings?
Because no-one cares Humpty!
iccle Faye is a Tracy Barlow in the making.
Great. A child making false accusations to get her own way. That will help all those children really suffering abuse to be believed. Disgraceful.
It's not likely that she'll get her own way. They wouldn't have it seen that a child could lie and get away with that sort of thing.
wait wait wait...sooo when Simon accused Carla of hitting him it was all 'oh that poor kid just wants to see Leanne!' and 'Maybe Carla has it in her to hit the kid when she's drinking.'
and now...one year later, Faye accuses Anna and it's all 'what a horrible child telling such a vicious lie?'
Nice to see that what's okay for one character is not okay for another.
any child who lies about being hit deserves to be punished. Simon shouldn't have got off scot-free and neither should Faye. I think most of the children on Coronation Street are in need of a good bout of discipline, but good representation of many kids today who are far too old for their ages, mouthy and disrespectful. The good ones are overshadowed by the brats.
Faye has already sucked up too much of our precious Corrie time. This story needs wrapping up fast, with the result of Faye going away. The viewers don't care about her and her goings on. There's already been too much air time wasted on this story.
Chatty Kathy well said! I am rapidly tiring of Faye running down the street shouting Hi Dad in almost every episode(in Canada). I know Faye has had a hard life but Anna has been really good to her. I think there is something a bit off about Tim he seems shifty to me. It wouldn't break my heart to see the back of Faye, Tim and Owen.
Every time that nasty little spawn is on the screen I want to tell Anna to send her back. Ugh.
What proof do we have that Tim is her biological father? Perhaps DSS will investigate before handing her over and will uncover some nefarious plot. Could be interesting.
Thanks anon 16:53!
Janice
I thought we saw a scene not too long ago where the social services woman said that they had checked Tim out and that he was not a risk to Faye.
In my opinion this storyline had potential but it's received too much screen time, with the result being we are tiring of these people and don't care anymore. There has been far too much back and forth and arguing between Anna, Owen, and Faye. I even had to check once to make sure I was watching the right episode because I was sure I'd seen the scene before!
Kate, I completely agree! The Faye/Owen/Anna/Tim scenes are all starting to run together. This story might have been okay, but TPTB are beating it into the ground to the extent that no one really cares any more.
