Dont think I can stomach much more of the pig ignorant Gloria constantly sucking up to the fire starter/kidnapper/stalker/loser/cheat/layabout/murderer. As someone else said its becoming very unpalatable indeed.
Does anyone know if he's had his contract extended like MC has ? I really hope this is the end of the line for Karl.
John Michie is so brilliant as Karl. He really is a villain you love to hate. It's too bad the Corrie PTB have sealed his fate by making him a murderer, thereby giving him a short shelf life.
Now Gloria, on the other hand, is a character I just hate. There's no love there. How any mother would try to get her daughter back with a lying, thieving, cheating, lazy slacker like Karl is mind-boggling. Even before he "saved" St Ella, Gloria was determined to reunite them. Mother Of The Year there!
I hope Sylvia doesn't corner her friend Stan on Roy's kitchen table.
Upon Gloria's return to the street with Eric, I found her character vile. After the funeral I held out hope she might mellow or at least become somewhat nicer. Nope, it hasn't happened and all this attention that she is paying to Karl is stomach churning. No offence to the actress but her character is very unlikable. I could easily see her being related to Tracy though.
Interesting that Gloria found Lewis transparent enough to expose him as a 'favour' to Audrey, but she cannot see through Karl.
How did Karl save Stella? Karl had to be saved himself by Toni - isn't that is how Toni died? or was I watching a different soap? I don't understand why he is being touted as a hero.
sorry - technologically challenged here...
...complete sentence is "I don't understand why Karl is being touted as a hero when it was his grandstanding that caused Toni's death when she had to save him.
I really found Sylvia's carry-on with the soap suds ridiculous and OTT...she didn't drop acid for godsake ... just a bit of weed in the brownies so why did the writers have her acting like she was a lunatic?..sparkly suds..soapy suds..rainbows etc etc..just stupid.
I was really glad that somebody finally slapped the stupid out of Julie..go Kirsteh!!
Chesney..what a waste of time he is..and such a sad sack.
Karl..a real monster..you can tell he's off the rails.
I dunno, Anonymous 23:52. When my mother tried "weed" for the 1st time, for the 1st half hour she kept saying "I don't feel anything". Shortly thereafter she started pointing out the animals and faces she was seeing in the stones of the fireplace!
