Here's something we all saw coming a mile away, right from the start of this storyline. You may be forgiven for thinking they've forgotten all about Tina's surrogacy pregnancy since it's barely been mentioned aside from her growing bump.
But, Digital Spy reports today, via an appearance by Michelle Keegan on ITV's This Morning, that things are going to hot up again soon. She tells us that Gary Windass, the biological father of the baby she's carrying is going to become confused in his feelings towards her.
Michelle also admits she doesn't know if Tina's going to change her mind and want to keep the baby but since this is a soap and everything has to be steeped in drama, I'm guessing that she's going to have very mixed feelings about giving up the child that's soon going to be kicking up a storm inside. She also doesn't know what's going to happen between Tina and ex-boyfriend Tommy though they have been a bit friendlier on screen of late, when we see them at all.

I have feelings for Tina too, but not of that nature!
Oh Lord, Tina will fall for Gary, then the baby is discovered to be Tommy's and not Grizzie's! Chaos everywhere.....I'm getting tired already.
Goddamnit, Gary falls for Tina, the baby turns out to be Roy's, the shock kills Hayley, which results in Roy getting sent down for murder, Carla takes over the cafe, and fires Anna, who goes to work at Underworld, falls for Kirk, who is killed by Beth out of jealous rage, she frames Eva, who commits suicide and then Alan Bradley returns from the dead and kills everyone else. That's your year, folks.
Didn't see that coming. Although he'll have to eat crow after his hijinx over Katy/Ryan! Makes sense as a soap storyline, though, as the baby could be Tommy's. Can't just have one couple playing "who's the baby daddy", now can we? Kylie's kid will then have to be David's. Shame, really. I like Nick and Kylie together.
I am getting tired of all this crap. Katie and Ryan and now these two. For gods sake come up with some storylines that aren't repeated over and over.
Good. Give Gary something to do other than propping up a piece of wood. He's far too good of an actor to just be sitting in the background.
After contemplating the idea, I actually surprised myself by thinking Gary and Tina would make a pretty good couple!

If it does happen, I suppose it can bring out some emotional drama about breaking up with a disabled woman/woman you have conceived a surrogate child with? Bound to bring out complications, there. Might actually do the show well to explore matters of the heart even under the cover of another cheap fling?
I agree with the above comment. The Gary actor is better than many on the Street and he deserves a strong story. And yes, there are many ways this story could go.
And it doesn't necessarily have to be a cheap fling if deep emotions are involved. We know that Gary feels very deeply and is intense. And I hope it really is Gary's baby bcause I can't see those two hopeless twits Tina & Tommy raising a baby.
What? Another love triangle/illicit relationship? Yawn-o. Katy and Ryan are painful enough.
Why Tina even gives Gary the time of day after he and his family were the main players in her dad's death I really dont know. Soap amnesia again and general irresponsibility again with Gary's affections changing so easily after all the angst about how committed to Izzy he was.
I hated it when Tommy and Tina broke up. They had so much chemistry together. Now they want to put her and Gary together. I don't think so. Gary is very contolling and he seems to be a little nuts. I really miss seeing Tommy.
gary and tina would make an amazing couple... i think it would be just what tina needs after everything she has been through
