ITV have an opportunity for two Assistant Publicity Managers to join and provide administrative support for our Coronation Street and Emmerdale Publicity Managers.
You will write press information for each episode of Coronation Street and Emmerdale for use on the ITV Press Centre, occasional press release writing and précising of storyline documents for forward planning purposes. You will also arrange interviews for the soaps and TV listings magazines, conducting interviews and transcribing them for issue to magazines including audio files.
As our Assistant Publicity Manager you will accompany actors on photo shoots, arrange travel for interviews and shoots, organise occasional set visits, photo calls and press screenings during high points in the storylines to generate press coverage while running and coordinating publicity requests when the Publicity Managers are away from the office on interviews and photo shoots
It is essential that you have good writing and organisational skills with a proven track record in press and publicity. These roles would suit individuals who are intent on a career in PR and Publicity or an experienced publicity practitioner returning to work after a career break. One of these roles will be based with the Coronation Street press team in Manchester and the other successful candidate will be based with the Emmerdale press team in Leeds.
The successful applicants would be required to work part time on Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays although flexibility will be required to cover for the full time Publicity Managers when necessary. You may be required to attend awards ceremonies in London and also to travel for photo shoots.
If you have the skills that we need, then apply by the closing date of 4th January 2013.
