All hail to the mighty Inside Soap magazine which is out today with a fresh batch of Coronation Street storyline spoilers for the New Year and next few weeks.
First off is the news that Lewis' plan to rip off Gail is set to turn serious. He'll get on Gail's good side even more than at present by telling her that her family doesn't appreciate her. That is, after he's advised her to stick her nose in where it's not wanted in the feud between Nick and Leanne.
So with Gail's confidence undermined, Lewis sets her up to meet his pal Patrick with a view to investing in a hotel in Italy.
Will Gail catch on to Lewis's lies and Patrick's plan? It's hard to say because we all know how gullible Gail is. Could be interesting to see how this one pans out.

Don't forget Gail's track record, three of her four husbands ended up dead. Nigel Havers does not have a long-term contract to play Lewis.
He's disappearing to do panto (Corrie being filmed several weeks ahead) and then he's coming back, so looks like he'll be around awile yet. Not sure I like this new (or old) direction Lewis is taking. I really liked him with Audrey.
I am passed caring anymore about Lewis Archer, this has dragged out for weeks, and I am fed up with Gail acting gullible. You'd think from a woman who has chosen some strange men she would be careful about what she does, but the writer's insist on continuing to make her a simpering idiotic moron. And what is Lewis trying to prove by this? He wasn't happy at being suspected of trying to double cross Audrey, so decides to rip off Gail? Load of rubbish.
Exactly. Gail would never be so stupid as to be taken in this way, especially as she had so many suspicions about Lewis all along. This story is really tiresome and long drawn out and why on earth is Lewis "coming back" a second time? Lets hope the new producer is not so awed by luvvie names as Mr Collinson.
I too liked the new Lewis with Audrey, and hate this storyline.
Besides, where would Gail get money to invest in anything? She had none when she was with Joe, who must have left her nothing but a pile of debt and a boat to float it in.
I wouldn't think that being a char lady at the Bistro would exactly put her into the tycoon income bracket!
