We're fans of Eva Price here at Coronation Street Blog Towers. Flaming Nora's blogged it and David has also become a fan aswell. The fripperies in her hair, the tragic choices in men, the dubious fashion choices...
She's a bit sharper-edged than Raquel was and not as sweet and kind either. She can be caustic and bitchy with the best of them and I like that about her.
I've written a post of my own over here about how much Eva reminds me of Raquel Wolstenhulme, more and more all the time.
Have a gander and let me know who you think should be Eva's own Curly Watts.

I for one could never stand Raquel. Eva is an original and far far better than Raquel could ever be.
The resemblance is purely superficial. Raquel had heart, hence Curly loving her was credible. Eva has to redeeming qualities other than the obvious bra size. Even her mother and half-sister have difficulty loving her so it makes sense men lust after her but not love her.
I liked Raquel and she was played by a wonderful actress who gave her character many layers. I also like Eva but she's very different. *Leanne* is the version she might have been if she didn't always have Mummy to fall back on. I grant you there is a similarity between Racquel and Eva when it comes to appearance but, as for the choice of men, the lack of success could apply to most women on the Street. Eva doesn't need a Curly Watts because Stella is her anchor. This allows her to be spoilt, lazy and demanding often to comic effect. Catherine Tyldesley plays her so beautifully that if Eva was given a decent story line, her character would really shine.
Agree with Leanne - Raquel wasnt overly bright but didnt have a bad bone in her body. Eva on the other hand is a spiteful clingy diva - I do think she's a great character though, the only similarity is that they are both blonde like hair adornments and are much better looking than the others on the street.
